Entrepreneurship is in vogue!Â
The 580 000 French entrepreneurs who decided to set up their own business in 2009 testify this trend.
Business schools, engineer schools and universities also don’t want to miss this new Eldorado of entrepreneurship. Most of them have therefore taken the initiative to develop among their students’ expertise about entrepreneurship:  seminars, master degrees, incubators… Everything is done to support the future graduates in their potential entrepreneurial projects and awareness.
In line with its entrepreneurial roots, B.D.C has decided to take part of this trend by intervening in a business school (Edhec) and in engineer schools (Centrale Lille, ITEEM) both in teaching and in project support.
Over time, B.D.C has indeed developed a recognized know-how in supporting start-ups in their development projects (business model & business plan, fund-raising, international development, governance…).
In the future, B.D.C also wishes to educate companies about entrepreneurship (or intrapreneurship). Indeed in the long run, the danger is to see graduates, attracted by the values of entrepreneurship (autonomy, innovation, risk taking…), losing interest in multinational firms which could become symbols of gigantism, anonymity and rigidity.
